Substack and most newsletter tools are built for public audiences and growth. This is built for a fixed circle of people you already know. There's no discovery feed, no public archive by default, no follower counts, and no pressure to publish on a schedule. Write when you have something to share.

Who can see my posts?

Only the subscribers on your list, and only after they've confirmed their email address via a double opt-in. Posts are not publicly indexed. There is no public profile page unless you choose to enable one.

What are the two privacy modes?

Email mode delivers the full post directly to your subscribers' inboxes — convenient for them, but the content lives in their email. Secure link mode sends a notification with a link that requires login, so the post itself never leaves our servers. You can pick the mode per-post.

Can my posts auto-expire?

Yes. You can set posts to auto-expire after 30, 90, or 180 days. After that, the post is removed from the secure link view (and the email, if it was sent in secure link mode, stops working). This is useful if you're writing about sensitive contexts or just want your updates to be ephemeral.

How do people subscribe?

You invite them by email, one at a time or in bulk. They receive a confirmation email and click to opt in. You won't be sending updates to anyone who hasn't actively confirmed they want them.

Do I own my subscriber list?

Yes. Your subscribers belong to you, not to us. You can export the full list (with emails and subscription dates) as a CSV at any time, and take it with you if you ever leave.

Can I import an existing list of subscribers?

Yes. Import via CSV — paste in emails and names, and we'll send each person a one-time confirmation so they can opt in. We require this even for imported lists: it protects your deliverability, keeps you compliant with anti-spam laws, and means the people who confirm genuinely want to hear from you. If you're coming from Mailchimp, Substack, or a long-running group email thread, the import takes a few minutes.

What happens if a subscriber's email bounces?

We handle it automatically. A soft bounce (temporary — a full inbox, a server hiccup) is retried a few times before being flagged. A hard bounce (the address doesn't exist) marks the subscriber as undeliverable right away so we stop sending. You'll see bounced subscribers clearly labeled in your list, with the reason, so you can reach out another way or remove them.

Can subscribers reply to posts?

Yes. Replies come back to you through the app's inbox — not as a flood of separate emails — so you can read everyone's notes in one place when you have time.

Can subscribers see each other?

No. Each subscriber only sees the post and the option to react or reply. They can't see who else is on your list.

Is there a limit on how many posts I can write?

Can I include photos?

Yes. You can attach a handful of photos per post. They're optimized and embedded in the email so subscribers see them inline without downloading attachments.

The composer is lightweight and works on slow connections. If a send fails, the post stays as a draft until you're back online — nothing gets lost.

Scheduling and send-later are on the near-term roadmap — the underlying infrastructure is being built so we can ship it without compromising deliverability. For now, posts send the moment you publish. If scheduling is important to your workflow, let us know — it helps us prioritize.

Will my emails actually land in inboxes?

Yes. We send through a reputable email provider with proper authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and warm-up practices, so updates land in the inbox rather than the spam folder.

If you cancel, you won't be charged again and there's no refund for the current period — you keep full access until the end of the time you've paid for. After that, your account is paused and your data is deleted 30 days later. Resubscribe within those 30 days and everything is restored.

After cancellation, your account is paused for 30 days. During that window your data stays in read-only mode so you can export anything you need. After 30 days, posts, subscribers, and replies are permanently deleted. Resubscribe within those 30 days and everything is restored.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We remove it within 48 hours. The confirmation email includes an undo link in case you change your mind.

How does the referral program work?

Share your personal referral link from your dashboard. When a friend you refer signs up and makes their first real payment after the free trial, you get one month free. Your friend gets 25% off their first 3 months. The reward is issued only after that first real payment, not at signup. If your friend later cancels, your free month stays — no take-backs.
