About Xpressed

Our Story

This site was started by an American family living and working in Dubai. We wanted to keep our partners connected to our work, and after looking at the existing options, we decided to build something new with capabilities those tools didn't offer.

We hope you find this a joy to use, and that you and those you love and communicate with through it will be blessed as well!

A BETTER WAY TO STAY CLOSE

Xpressed is built for people whose work or life takes them somewhere most of their friends and family will never see — and for the people back home who want to follow along.

A cup of coffee and an open journal on a wooden table, with a view through a window onto an Andean village with terracotta rooftops and snow-capped peaks at golden hour

Xpressed is built for people whose work takes them far from home — humanitarian workers, journalists, aid workers, researchers, expat families — and the friends, family, and people who want to follow along.

We made it because the alternatives didn't fit. Social media is loud. Group chats are messy. Newsletter tools are designed for marketing funnels, not personal updates. We wanted something quieter — closer to a letter than a feed.

Posts go out by email. Subscribers can read securely on the web or get the full text in their inbox — their choice. Hearts and short replies come back to one calm inbox. That's it.
